NBA Semis: #2 Ital v #3 jbay44

At the 5 for ital, Griffin has great potential and can be an elite player. But, he is a PF. The transition SHOULDN'T be difficult, since he is a rookie and he can be developed more. Roy Hibbert should be the starting C IMO, but if Griffin does do well at the 5, Hibbert will be a nice backup. Aldrich is a nice depth guy since he is young and can develope. For JBay, DH12 is the best 5 in the league and will not slow down, where Perkins is a semi-elite center and is a nice backup for anyone's team. I take Jbay here because we don't know how Griffin's transition will go.

At the 4 for ital, Dirk is an elite player and will start to slow down but will still be on a high level at age 35. Lamar Odom will start to decline since he is getting up there in age along with Dirk. For JBay, Carlos Boozer will be a guy who put up with Dirk on D. Ibaka and Green are 2 young guys that can develop and be nice backups for Boozer and possilby, take over for Boozer in the 3rd year. I Take Jbay here becuse Ital's 4 is old and will get pushed around in the future.

At the 3 for ital, Rudy Gay is a player why gets the job done who can get even better. Wes Johnson is a nice backup ands can develop into a nice backup for Gay. Korver is a nice depth guy. He is a guy who can shoot 3's when needed. For Jbay, Gerald Wallace is an elite player who can shoot and rebound who should have no problem defending Gay. Jeff Green is a nice backup who can be a 3 or 4. A nice depth guy. Wes Matthews is a nice backup who can have a good offensive game and can be a nice guy off the bench. I take Ital on this one.

At the 2 for ital, Wade is an elite guard and will not slow down. Xavier Henry is a good backup for Wade. For Jbay, Mayo will be a star in 3 years and will be elite. Wes Mathews is a nice swingman for the 2/3. Wayne Ellington is a good reserve guy. I take Ital.

At the 1 for ital, Rondo will be an elite player (minus the shooting) and will lead the team real well. Ty Lawson will be a good backup for Rondo. For Jbay, Nash will slow down and cannot defend Rondo. Jennings will be the one to keep Rondo in check. Jennings will eventually take over for Nash becuase of Nash's age. Gibson won't matter, just a reserve guy. I take Ital.

Off the bench, I think that the benches are really close, but the one thing that bothers me is that Lamar Odom can't play forever, like Dirk A younger PF would be needed if Griffin was playing center pernamently. So i take Jbay on that.

Overall, if this were in a 7 game series, i'd go with Ital because he has better guards and has a good SF in Gay, though Jbay has a better presence in the paint, Jbays guards, Nash/Jennings and Mayo, cant stop Rondo and Wade at the same time. Which will lead to Rondo actually setting up the plays.
