This might make a few of you guys a little happier. Colts are losing 17-0 and Peyton has thrown 2 Int's so far. That makes 9 in 3 games so far.

What I don't understand is why they would think they could get an extension done anyway? If that was a sticking point then nobody should know about the deal, or potential deal, until it is finalized.

Red Sox fans have been continually dragged through the mud on this s*** and I'm sick of it. Absolutely disappointing.

Absolutely 100% agree. However, i still think something gives. But if it's about money or years, then heads should absolutely roll.

And also, the Nats managed to single-handedly get themselves into an albatross contract and drive up the price for Crawford in one fell swoop.

I didnt even think about that.

Kiss Crawford goodbye too.....

It doesn't bother you that the Redsox did ugats after that phony page in the paper saying they promise to do better?

What is your obsession with the word ugats?

Why is everyone giving up hope so soon for crawford?

He hasn't been signed...We still have a chance for him

So, AdGon slips through the Sox grasp, Werth gets an uber contract and Crawford's value just skyrocketed. Oh boy. This offseason just fell thru the floor in Boston. This is why you must be willing to overpay for elite level talent. Cause if u dont, someone else will. 7 for Werth makes 8 for AdGon look like a bargain

This is what has to happen now.

Get the AGON deal done.

Sign Beltre.

Youkilis plays LF.......thats the ONLY way to make up the offensive production we have lost.

Its crazy, but thats the only way to do it now.

Wow everyone was on their knees with Theo balls deep in their mouths yesterday. And now he deserves to be fired  People just need to chill and let this play out. And if it doesn't turn out how you where hoping, there are 29 other teams to cheer for.

I know your loving this. But the fans will take care of this. Watch this team lose more ratings and money you see how fast these f*** ups sell.

Werth for 7 years is absurd. But that's why he signed Boras.

They already did.

They stopped going to the games last year to watch Manny Varitek pitch and Mike Wakefield hit bombs over the monster.

All thats left is us people who really care about this team, and even you have to be disgusted with these series of events.

GoBruins is an idiot........Dipre, you KNOW Ive been preaching this s*** for 2 years.....and I got murdered on these boards. How dare I talk bad? Well, most of the s*** I said then was true whether you like to hear it or not.....and it is now coming in to fruition.

If it wasn't for a rash of injuries that no one, including you, could have predicted, this was a playoffs team last year.

Just stop it.

Werth gets 7 years?

And to think, some people on here actually thought he was going to receive a contract similar to Bay

That's why I knew the Sox would never really be serious when it came to signing the guy.

EXCUSE ME?!?! There are 28 other teams to cheer for, thank you.

Beltre returning would be bad for the sox, on the PR front and on the field. He's oft injured and incredibly inconsistent. If he gets what Boras wants (5-6 yr 90+ mil) then he'll be more of a risk and more overpaid than AdGon at likely much less production

Often Injured. Really?

I mean he causes but not usually the injured one.

No thanks. They make up plenty of offensive production by getting Gonzalez. Lowrie should be a good producer at 3B and if Iglesias can contribute with his glove by mid-season then that can add some WAR to the pot.

While I disagree with your premise, I have to admit that the entire off-season relies on a huge move for Gonzalez.

What annoys me more than anything is that they had the CHANCE to sit down today and say "we have Adrian Gonzalez for a year and we gave up a lot for him" and then they figure out the contract anyway. The most they would lose there is some prospects (minus Gonzalez's production for one year). Instead, they turn the entire deal down and say "If I can't have my cake and eat it too, I don't want anything!"

Hey Sox FO, your fanbase deserves this. We have watched you bungle deals over and over again, A-Rod, Teixeira, etc., but this would be too much.

If they don't come out of the weekend being able to say that they have Adrian Gonzalez (with or without extension) then it is a loss. I don't give a f*** that they gave up Casey Kelly. Even a pitcher as good as Jon Lester doesn't sell out ballparks. Kelly won't either. Gonzalez would.

Let me paint a picture for you that you'll appreciate.

The tigers were the first to penetrate the redsox in every hole. With Vmaet really at a reasonable price.

Then Agone got in on the gang bang

Then the Nationals got in on the gang bang

So the Redsox are limping noticable right now and walking funny.

And best of all they will lose profits so they got reamed out and robbed by 3 diffent parties.

I wouldn't be opposed to putting Youk in LF since Beltre plays great defense at 3B. I kind of feel like silence from the Red Sox is good news for now. I'm starting to feel a bit more optimistic but not very cautious.

I don't care if they don't get another FA. They need to get Gonzalez. End of story. That plus a bunch of home-grown talent, starting a combination of Kalish/Reddick in the OF would be fine with me. None of them is an unacceptable answer.
