I'm still proud of this Sox team. Plus, mow I can go to Spain and enjoy it in peace without worrying about baseball. Although, nothing would've made me happier this week than to know something amazing was happening in my absence. (For what it's worth though, I have just two rules in life: No weddings, and no international travel during the month of October. That being said, this trip to Spain this week is a very special occasion: a reunion of my Irish uncles and my right off the boat Mom for 5 days in Costa del Sol hanging out, drinking wine, and soaking up the sun and relaxing vibe. I couldn't say no to my dear Mom who's been through hell the last couple of years fighting cancer and dealing with my dad's illness. Maybe in some weird way, the baseball Gods are saving up some greatness for us for 2011 because they know I wouldn't have been here this week to witness a great comeback from the Sox. Cuz yup, it's all about me!

 

Anyway, thank you Red Sox, for a great season during injury turmoil galore, and no matter what happens, do your damned best to tire out those Yankess before round 1 of the playoffs. We love you and we're still proud of you. Wicked proud.
