What are everyone's thoughts about me cutting a player I have already drafted and replacing him with another?

I'm fine with it. I mean you drafted a player awhile ago and are taking a player that still isn't drafted, even in the 29th round.

With that said, I wouldn't worry about making a quick fix move due to an injury, since I won't penalise you if you drafted a player that was healthy and THEN got injured.

Why don't you message me what you were thinking and I can give you a more specific opinion if you'd like.

I don't have an issue with this either way. I don't think it's a big deal now, but then again I think having a set period for it after the draft wouldn't be a bad idea either.

My suggestion would be that after the draft is completed' date=' everyone gets a specific time frame when they can add/drop players.[/quote']

And don't forget trading.

While I'm fine with WhiskeyBreath adding/dropping his player now, I think that it wouldn't make a difference since the player he is taking should be there through the remaining 1.5 rounds, so I think that WhiskeyBreath will still get his player even after the draft is finished.

Probably, but I just think it is more fair to do it after the draft, when everyone has equal opportunity, instead of assuming (while probably correctly) that no one would be interested in the player he wants to pick up with their remaining picks.

I don't think that it wouldn't be fair for him to do it now. I mean I'm fine either way, but I think that if he's dropping a player that he took awhile ago, that it'd be fair if he took a player that was still available at this point. Obviously it wouldn't be fair if he just took a player now and didn't drop anyone, but I think it's fair as it is if he took a player that was still available and dropped a player that was taken a while ago, even if it isn't his turn now.

For example, if I dropped Sam Bradford, I think it'd be fair if I took someone else even if it wasn't my turn, because I'd be releasing Sam Bradford back to the free agent pool. The only negative argument that I can think of is that it would potentially influence the draft chain because he would be introducing a player that was taken awhile ago that is now suddenly available, and even then, I don't think it would matter since every single team has a center. Just my opinion.

I just think that if someone makes a pick, even if they regret that selection, they shouldn't just be able to replace that player on a whim during the draft. That would be tantamount to a NFL team selecting a player in the draft, and then later on in the draft throwing that player back into the pool and replacing him with someone else.

Wouldn't that be similar to someone missing a pick and then interrupting the draft to make a makeup pick later in the draft (even when it isn't their turn)

I think there's a distinct difference between those two scenarios, because in that one the person never actually makes a pick. I think once we make a pick, we should be married to it, at least until the draft is over.

Here's how well handle trades and adding/dropping players... There will be a one week window post-draft for all of those transactions to take place. I will determine waiver order randomly. You are free to add/drop free agents at any time on a first come, first serve basis. If a player is dropped they are added to the waiver wire and the team with highest priority has six hours to claim him, with the same 12-8 window in effect. If the player is not claimed by team #1, team #2 can put in a claim and so on. If you make a claim and add the dropped player, you go to the bottom of the waiver list.
