I'll give you the status of his arm. It's being held together by Krazy Glue, duct tape and some string.

I believe this time he is attempting to come back as a reliever. I believe he has given up on his SP days.

 

Kerry Wood has managed to do it with decent success.

The Rangers and Mark Prior have reportedly come to terms on a minor league deal.

Prior isn't expected to join the Rangers this month, and we're not sure whether the deal includes any provisions for 2011. Perhaps Prior wanted to pitch under a major league team's supervision in the fall instructional league. Prior had allowed one unearned run over 11 innings for the Orange County Flyers of the Golden Baseball League. He gave up five hits, walked five and struck out 22.
