Well' date=' Buchholz did miss 3 starts due to the hamstring issue[/quote']

Buch's thrown over 500 pitches fewer than Lester; he's still relatively underworked compared to the rest of the staff. And that hamstring issue means that his arm has gotten less work over this season.

He'll be in the discussion' date=' but I think Lee and Price are gonna be headlining that group, with Lester and Sabathia in the 3-4 range[/quote']

Lee will probably win it. I'm really not sure why Lester's an afterthought when you compare his year with Price's, but it seems that way among voters.

Unless someone has a clear advantage like Greinke last yr, being the ace on a playoff team has a ton of merit. With Shields and Garza taking a step back this yr, Price has been the ace and savior of that club. Lester, right now, is on a team that is 6 games back of a playoff spot. If they dont make the playoffs, then he has no chance

Bard was up in the pen, but that was when Doubront had two runners on. I wouldn't expect to see Bard pitching the 9th, but he'll probably be warming quickly if whoever starts the 9th gets into trouble.

i think felix would win it if the season ended today. lee and price have struggled lately. buchholz has just as much an argument for winning the cy as sabathia does though

the sox typically own the angels and the angels suck it hard this yr. This should be an easy sweep
and let's hope that the Yanks dump a couple of games to Detroit.

Absolutely. As long as he continues to perform this well.

Yes, these guys Price and Lee are more likely.

Although, if the base running incident had not happened, the situation may have been different.

I forgot about that factor. I never understood that, it's not like the Rays would be any worse pitching Lester every 5 days instead of Price. Then again, the voters also think wins are an extremely important stat, which I don't understand either.

Lee wins the Cy pretty easily this year barring something crazy happening.

I read an article from one of the people who votes, who said (around the ASB I think) that he'd still vote for Ubaldo in the NL, despite his recent craptacular performances (at the time), and the fact that other pitchers were pitching better than him overall. I'm not sure recent performances help/hurt a Cy Young cause very drastically.

Let's hope we can make something of Lowell's double. I don't feel safe with Bowden on the mound.

it's bull that they give it to guys based on wins and what team they play for. multiple starters have pitched better than him this year

A signature Lowell double hooked down the left field line.

And he had time to get to second!:D

I love Mike Lowell.

I'll miss him.

Ubaldo is not winning CY at this point , even with his win totals

and Jacko... CC is not in the top 5 for AL CY

s*** happens. Remember when Carpenter was left off two ballots entirely last year? And Wainwright had more 1st place votes, and finished 3rd?

we play the angels and jays who we've owned this year and then the mariners at home. we have a chance to pick up some games if we don't s*** the bed
