Buchholz has had a 96 all season, but I think the 97 is pretty new. I've seen reports of him being capable of 97, but I've never actually seen it.

Not painful at all IMHO. Looks like the team may improbably enough be rounding into shape.

There's no reason to bring Buchholz out for the ninth. He's not rocking a shutout and he's at around 110 pitches. Time to bring in a low-echelon pen guy to get him an inning of work.
