I haven't been to Fenway for a few years now and will be returning to New England with the family on vacation. We'll be driving down from Vermont for the day, probably I-93, and I'm looking for options for a park and ride experience. Don't mind taking commuter rail or "T."

We're attending a Saturday night game.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

You can park at riverside or at any of the green line stops in Newton/Brookline - either for free or at a very cheap pay lot, and then ride in to the Fenway stop. It's about 20 minutes.

Yeszir, thanks for the reply. So, I'm driving in from Vermont and you're suggesting that I drive around the city to the Riverside station. Is that right?

Cheers

Riverside is right off of 95 so it's pretty convenient I'd say. You could probably find a place to park closer in, somewhere in Brookline, but you'd have to find your way there and look for it.

Don't blame me if this goes awry though, does anyone else have any ideas?

If you're coming from I-93, my advice would be to take I-93 south all the way into Revere (I want to say it's exit 28, but I'm not sure off the top of my head) right before the city, and park at Wellington station. You'll have to take the orange line into North Station, then switch to the green line into Kenmore, and it's about a 2-3 minute walk from there to get to Fenway.

It's 5 bucks to park there in the "T" lot for the day, and there's really no traffic on your way out back to Vermont when you get back to the car.

This is usually what I do when I go to Sox games (though I only have a 20 minute ride back home from the station ).

I appreciate the help and no, I won't blame anybody if things go awry. I'm flying around Google Earth now trying to piece it all together.

It's been a while since I've been there and it's a bit of a pilgrimage for my family. My three kids have never seen Fenway, except for my son's 6 foot photo of the 2004 WS hanging above his bed.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
