we'll see what this means. Doesnt sound like the best pen option seeing as he doesnt strike out a lot of batters and gives up a lot of flyballs, but we'll see

Meh. I'd like to see them go out and get a 7th or 8th inning guy but it probly wouldn't be worth it.

It would have been a better move if he hadn't been lights out in AAA lately, but it still makes sense. They need bullpen arms, he hasn't had much success with the Sox as a starter, and his trade value is a lot lower than it used to be.

He made his first start yesterday and pitched well. What's the plan here? Middle relief? Set up guy once Bard takes over as closer?
