Poor throwing mechanics.

You are not a scout, you are not a coach. His mechanics are "unorthodox", and messing up his footwork has nothing to do with his arm angle. Then again, you already knew that. Through the tv.

Beltre continues to pile up errors. Lowell never would have gotten to that ball though.

Error number 7: May 8th.

Error number 8: June 3rd.

Clear indication on the strength of the argument.

But hey, as a700 said, Lowell doesn't even get to it. Did i spell that correctly?

...and 8 errors by June 3rd is good?

Maybe i was trying to imply that he's settled after his horrible early season "fielding slump", by not making an error (and lol errors) in almost a month. But hey, what do i know, i can't even spell correctly.

Fielding slump? Didn't Lugo used to have those. I don't remember too many other guys having them.;)

Yeah, but Lugo sucked. Oh, and the "fielding slump" term i didn't come up with. My theory is that he was trying too hard to impress early in the season. He settled down and the mistakes stopped, until now.

I'm just teasing you as usual about Beltre. You are so serious when we are losing.:D

I made an edit. Check it out.

He was good enough to get 4 years and $36 million from Theo.

So?

JD Drew was good enough to get 5/70. Money well spent. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Every team makes blunders, and it's really easy to talk from the comfort of your chair.

Where are you' date=' in the dugout?[/quote']

Most of the time.

The clear difference is i don't spend 99% of my time trying to find reasons to bitch and whine and moan about every little thing i can. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but that doesn't mean i'm a better judge of talent, defensive performance, or monetary worth than any GM in MLB. And neither are you. It's one thing to have an opinion, quite another to bitch, whine and moan to the point of utter annoyance.

Theo paid too much for both of them. Boras plays Theo like a fiddle and eats his lunch in case after case.

Were there any competing offers for Drew? Remember' date=' I'm a Drew lover, but Theo overpaid.[/quote']

Were there not any competing offers for Drew? What does that has to do with the fact that Drew is not a bust like Lugo (which was the initial point)?

This.

Lugo= bust.

Drew= not a bust.

90% of every FA signed in MLB is "overpaid".

Sabathia, Holliday, Lackey to name a couple. But hey, you could've gotten them both for cheaper.

It wasn't my point. My point is that Theo overpaid for both guys. One was a bust. The other was not. Boras owns Theo.

Question: Do teams like the Sox or Yankees don't usually have to overpay for that type of talent?

See:

Sabathia, CC.

Damon, Johnny.

Lackey, John.

Holliday, Matt.

Rodriguez, Alex.

And on and on and on. Not to mention that at the time of the Drew signing the market for OF exploded.

You know what overpaying is?

50 and 40 million for Juan Pierre and Gary Matthews respectively.
