If Lebron could ever get a second legitimate player, then he'll be the best player of all time. He continues to get old, hurt retreads as sidekicks and regularly brings his teams into the playoffs. And the playoff failures are hardly on him. If I were him, I'd talk to Wade, Bosh and Stoudamire and make sure to team up with one of them on a new team. I think Bosh and Lebron would be unstoppable. Big man in the middle, Lebron running the floor.

If you could choose between Kobe's previous 10 years' date=' or LeBron's next 10 years which would you pick?[/quote']

Probably Kobe, but it depends on where LeBron ends up next year. I'll have a definite answer when LeBron signs.

Suggesting that would make Lebron better then Jordan was is absurd

In the Eastern Conference, which is like the Eastern Conference in Hockey, the National League, or the NFC West.

I think the best fit for LeBron is Amare, because he is someone who will run the floor with LeBron, more so than Bosh would.

As for who the best player in the league is, it's close, as both Kobe and LeBron do things better than the other one does, but no one in today's game closes like Kobe does. The reason being, in a big spot late in a game, the opposing team is not going to want to get beat in the paint, so they'll force the offensive team to beat them from the perimeter. Kobe, in my opinion, is a much more reliable shooter than LeBron is, and that might be the important important aspect of a basketball player's game (because of the reason I just outlined).

By the way, when's the last time Kobe was completely healthy?

edit: Or even close to being completely healthy?

It hardly seems fair to compare a 31 year old Kobe with a 25 year old Lebron.

By the way, to answer the question posed earlier, I would take Kobe's last ten years over Lebron's next ten. I mean, at the end of those ten years Lebron will be 35. Is Lebron going to be able to transform his game to deal with the physical limitations he hits as he gets older like Kobe has? It's a legitimate question. Kobe used to be more of a slasher himself.

I don't think anyone has. I've removed myself from this argument, because no one's listening to the other side's opinion. It's getting ridiculous. One side says Kobe is OBVIOUSLY a better "dribbler, passer, blah blah blah I know what I'm talking about". The other side will counter with "Nuh uh, James is better at dribbling, his dribbles are so f%$#ing l33t dude!!".

It's starting to make me lose brain cells reading most of this, and I'm guilty of being in there for most of it.

I'm starting to see that this isn't about statistics, or anything like that, but all about opinion.

I'm just gonna say, I've seen Lebron make some crazy ass full court shots on a commerical once. And he was like, #23, so he's obviously way better than Kobe Bryant.

Agreed on that. Amare is mad explosive, Shaq once praised him as the future of the NBA. Amare would be awesome with Lebron, but I don't know if I'd ever see that happen. I'd love to though.

I'd love to see it too, as long as it's not on the Knicks.

Glad to see we agree on something in this topic. I really do not want to see both of those guys on the Knicks. Not only would it be unfair, but, I just really don't like the Knicks. Maybe the Timberpups will make a couple deals!

Why would it be unfair?

I mean unfair as in, unstoppable. Lebron and Amare would be an awesome tandem, although Lebron and Wade would be pretty unfair as well.

Ah, OK, fair enough. Yeah, as I mentioned in my initial post, I really can't imagine a better compliment to LeBron than Amare when you consider both their styles of play.

Anyone who thinks LeBron is better than Kobe is a troll. You either must be Charles Barkley or the broadcasters on ESPN. Yeah LeBron came out of high school and did his thing but so what? When compared to Kobe no doubt Kobe is the better player.
