Goddamn s***** throw, Drew.

Shouldda had him by ten feet.

Two bad shoulders. I've noticed that his arm strength is not the same as past years.

Who posted about how Buchholz would demonstrate his superiority over Hughes? Good call.

Right now, we don't look like like we can compete with these guys. I stress "right now" so people don't freak out. But 8 games in the loss column behind two teams... and it's only May 8th... their chances continue to slip away. What will reverse the course of this team?

You'll have to be more specific' date=' are you referring to the channel audio or the fact that Buck and McCarver spent a good few minutes trying to figure out the plural of the word "dove" on national tv?[/quote']

Yeah the channel audio kept getting really soft then really loud for some reason... wasn't having that problem on Fox earlier, only when it switched to FX.

Theo has a lot of work to do overall a700. In fact, I'm not convinced that there are any moves that would save this team's season. Even getting Adrian Gonzalez wouldn't change the overall complexion of this team. If that's the case then trading a bunch of potentially valuable players to get someone who is around for another year might be foolish.

Ride out the storm and be ready to capitalize when the winds change in the Sox favor? That's what I would promote.

Wow! Things must be bleak when we are on the same page about what needs to be done with this team. I'd rather be disagreeing with you vehemently when the team is fighting for first place. I am holding out hope that before it is too late things will come together for this team and a spark will light the fire. Right now... no signs of life.

The Yankees might as well just take the win tomorrow and get the f*** out of Boston. I don't want to see these f*** for as long as f***** possible. Get the f*** out, you dirty apes.

The Yankees continue to f*** me over. First, they f*** over my actual team. Now they are f***** over my fantasy teams. This is bulls***. F*** all of these a**holes. I'm sick and tired of this f***** s***.

Yeah, but I'm facing one of the biggest a**holes in the league. And he'll probably steal a win because the Yanks keep f***** the Sox over.

Closer of the future gives up a two run hit to his first batter. Let's give him the job now. Trade Papelbon for a prospect.

Bard is the least of this team's concerns.

I have been cautious about having a first-year setup man with so much responsibility in an otherwise weak pen, but in a game like this Bard is just trying to get outs.

As for agreeing with you, yes, it is a remarkable thing. You and I watch the same team and these same games and clearly we've come to the same conclusion. I think most reasonable fans have. I agree with you that a good run is imminent, and it may even put them into contention. However, this team is just filled with old guys, journeymen, and young guys trying to establish themselves.

I would say that of the entire team, only a few players don't fit that category. Pedroia, Youkilis, Martinez, Beckett, Lackey, Lester, Papelbon and maybe Drew. Just about every other player on the team is either over the hill and looking toward retirement, or is young and just trying to prove themselves. We have two mediocre DH options (who can't really play any other position and are owed tons of money), a non-cemented 3B, CF and SS position, and no elite batters in their prime who can carry a team.

I knew all of these problems before the season started, but I didn't anticipate that Tampa Bay would be this good, or that the pitching would be this bad or erratic.

A very frustrating team to watch and root for.

Again, 100% agreement. No disagreement whatsoever. Let's talk politics. Just kidding.:D

You better bro! ;)

This is f***ing miserable.

I was at the fiasco against the Rays on the Saturday and Sunday when we lost 3 games. My son and I couldn't remember if we'd ever seen three Sox losses in a row at Fenway. I don't think we have. I think the odds are with us to see a win.
