Patriots Acquire WR Tory Holt

The Pats today acquired Tory Holt for $1.7 million.

 

I thought he retired a couple years ago, but apparently he played for Jacksonville last year.

Good depth signing. He'll look better in the Pats offense as opposed to have Garrard and the scrub JAX offense. Still we need another WR

Exactly. Holt is nothing like he was in his St. Louis hey day, but he's still a very smart receiver and I think he'll be a good dude to have around.

Jacksonville's passing offense is also abysmal. Holt is still better than other options other teams have.

 

...but not as good of an option as Dez Bryant (I have man-crush on the guy, so I'm going to be upset about it for awhile... if it had been an OLB or some other position we really needed, that woulda been fine and I wouldn't be so pissed).
