I personally don't care about the trades Gom makes. I don't see anything too obviously unfair, and his team, despite the presence of Pujols and A-Rod, doesn't scare me all that much.

I had both on my other team in a different league and released Ramirez, and would have released Upton if he wasn't on the can't-drop list or whatever it is. I personally don't see what the problem is. Different teams have different needs. This has nothing to do with me being a homer or being buddies with Gom or anything, but I'm not going to get upset over this trade.

It's all about value. Draft position is a fair indicator of value early in the season. Season performance becomes more important as the season progresses.
