I've read a couple of mock drafts and going in the 9th spot are Dan Williams, (Nose Tackle from Tennessee), Trent Williams (Offensive Tackle from Oklahoma), Brian Bulaga (Offensive Tackle from Iowa) and even Jimmy Clausen (QB from Notre Dame). I would take Bulaga and Clausen over Ben right now. The other two are okay prospects but I would rather take Ben over them (even with the 6 games).

Really depends on who you think will fall into that #9 spot, if you think it is Bulaga or Clausen that fall that far you do not trade the pick.

There is no way the Rams, Lions, Redskins (although who really knows), Chiefs, Seahawks, Browns (but you never know) or the Raiders taking a QB with their top picks (yes, I know that the Rams will take Bradford). So IF Clausen is there, you must grab him if you are the Bills.

Does anyone else find it annoying that the Nfl Draft is now 3 days? Seems selfish and attention seeking if you ask me' date=' especially during the NBA and NHL playoffs.[/quote']

Not really b/c nobody cares after day two

Be that as it may, it's not even 1/5th the length of the MLB draft yet they both take 3 days. Having it while the NBA and NHL playoffs are on is bulls***.

JaMarcus Russell has beefed up to 300 pounds, a league source tells Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.

Russell was already overweight at 290, so he's sliding in the wrong direction. We'd say his imminent release might motivate the former No. 1 overall pick to get in shape, but history has proven that won't be the case. The "move JaMarcus to right tackle" jokes are coming fast and furious now. If Russell puts on about 20 more lbs., he could play five-technique end in Oakland's new 3-4 sets.

Damn, what a bust. This is why teams need to have a rookie cap. Players have to earn the money, not just because of what they did in college

I'm not really sure what the Broncos are going for but I was very upset when they drafted Tebow.

Then, the next morning, I saw the interview he did shortly after being drafted and realized he's going to be a successful player in this league because of his attitude -- maybe not great, and maybe not at QB, and maybe not with Denver, but he'll work hard enough to find a spot as a good player in this league somewhere. I'm fairly confident in that. And another thing, after whiney Jay Cutler, who forced his way out because the team listened to teams make offers for him, and after Brandon Marshall with the difficulties with him, it's refreshing to see a guy with Tebow's attitude.

As for Jamarcus Russell, for all the senile things Al Davis has said and done, what he said to Lane Kiffin in his letter has to be at the tippy top:

“I realized that you did not want to draft JaMarcus Russell. He is a great player. Get over it.”
