Cano hurts, me I live in NY currently, and when he came up he was a medoicre prospect type that had average success in the minors that projected by at least Michael Kay to be an average MLB 2B. Cano is lazy in the field at times, especially in 2008 but in 2009 he was excellent in the field. The other killer thing as mentioned previously is his plate patience. The year he hit .355, he had an OBP of what .365? That's pathetic and will hold him back. I remember Michael Kay compared him to Rod Carew that year...I hate Michael Kay.

How has he sucked ass? He's had one down season. Sometimes you just can't stop yourself.

 

I do agree with Keeper. Cano has some unrealized potential. He has a TON of power, but his stroke is more on the line drive aspect than the lofty homer.
