Probably nothing. Snow piles up every year and its none the worse for wear. I'm sure the ground crew has thought of it.

yeah i think they bring in seats.

 

 

Actually they don't you have to watch from the normal seats. would love to see it from the Monster.

No. I was saying that the stands seem too far away to be able to see the action well.

And the boards will not provide good sight lines unless you are elevated and even further away from the action.

 

It's all good though. Someone will make money.

Doesn't seeing this photo and knowing they blew up old Yankee stadium make you feel good? I love the fact that Fenway still looks beautiful - even for a gay hockey game.

That's awesome. Last year they did it at Wrigley (I believe). There was talk about them doing it at the old Yankee Stadium but that never happened. I love the idea though, even though I'm not a hockey fan.

This is pretty cool, apparently 2 boarding school teams, Taft and Avon Farms, played at Fenway the other day. Also the BU and BC mens teams and the Northeastern and New Hampshire woman's teams will play a doubleheader at Fenway on January 8th. It's cool to see that they're using the rink for more than just the Bruins/Flyers game.

I only had time to watch the first period before I had to go to work, but it pretty much made my day. I love the idea of the winter classic and I love the idea of my favorite hockey team playing in my favorite sports stadium even though they play a different sport.

 

I was excited about this game ever since it was announced that they'd play in Fenway.

It was a great game and I hoped a lot of people watched it and it got people interested in Bruins hockey more so. It would have been a real stinker if the Bruins lost at Fenway, but thanks to Recchi and Sturm's OT game winning OT goal the B's came back and prevailed. Great game, must have been a heck of an atmosphere to be in, but for $300 bucks the seats were far away from the rink.

f*** Avon Old Farms (one of the teams in those pictures posted by 26). Never had a good experience with ANY kid that ever came out of that school. (Almost) each one of them is just a prick who is literally too stupid to insult.
