I think thats BS personally, he is responsible for what HIS staff does, IMO he knew about it and did nothing, maybe Im wrong but he is a slimeball and deserves to face the concequences of what he has done.

He didn't know about either, he didn't know about marcus camby situation or derrick rose situation. And by the way josh pastner was his recruiter while at memphis.

I lost respect for UK though when they hired that slimeball of a coach.

 

Kentucky was desperate (and embarassed). At this point their fan base was like "Alright, I don't give a damn what it takes, we are going to win and win now"... so naturally they went for the home run and got Calipari. Same thing with Alabama football 3 years ago. They were fed up with mediocrity, so they went for the best there is in Nick Saban and threw tons of dollars at him to come. Only difference is Saban isn't a known cheat.

But, Connecticut ranked ahead of Pittsburgh is one of the most ridiculous results of the polls this season.

You would have never known you were overrated? Any college basketball fan with a brain would have known it since the beginning of the season. Now more know it.

 

Their season lies on Kemba Walker, who is a total mess right now. He has no perimeter game outside of 10 feet, amd makes horrible decisions with the ball. He's fast. Unfortunately, that seems to be the full extent of his offense. If they can't get out on the break, Walker has no idea what to do, and either Dyson, or Robinson or Walker wind up taking the opponent one-on-one (or more). Couple that with no dependable outside game, and 2 recruiting classes in a row that have underperformed, and UConn is looking like they are finally going to fall back to the middle of the Big East pack.

 

Now, imagine this year's team minus Dyson, Robinson and Edwards, and that's UConn next year. They have Roscoe Smith from Oak Hill, and a bunch of role players to add next year. Either Calhoun is going to retire, or he better get himself a new assistant or two for next year.

Oh well, turns out that Uconn is probably overrated on the season. We lost some good players and Thabeet left early, but we still are a good team with some potential. There are many recruits that are undecided that are considering Uconn which can help future seasons to a fine program. Enjoy Carmelo and 2003 while your Orangemen do something now before few of them do anything in the NBA.

Right now #5 Villanova is @ #4 West Virginia. Wildcats up 45-40 early in the 2nd half.

 

Up next is #1 Kansas @ #14 Texas. Texas has been playing terrible in recent weeks, but I bet they play well and keep it within 4-5 points tonight.
