Anytime Duke and the ACC loses is a great night.

really don't have a favorite NCAA sports team i just love watching upsets and seeing what kind of players will come out of college.

Hey UCONN .... USUCK

They look like s*** in the first 5 mins. 12-2 UK.

Pretty clear Kentucky is the most talented team in the country though. Their greatest flaw is that there all freshman (except for patterson). will get even better as the season goes on. The one team I would fear the most.

Lovin the up and down game right now.

By far the most impressive thing I've seen from Kentucky that Calipari has brought is defensive intensity. They are relentless. With UConn having no bench (they just ate Beverley's lunch, who's got no business being out there), I just think they will wear UConn down eventually, but we shall see.

Oh, and John Wall is too fast for the physics of dribbling, but damn he's fun to watch and Gavin Edwards is a one-man wrecking crew.

Spoke too soon. This Kentucky team is also very young, dumb, and obviously have little confidence in their perimeter game. Will be interesting to see how Calipari schemes for the second half. If they called the over the backs on UK, I think they would have 2 players that fouled out already

Against UNC on Saturday, there were countless instances where the Tar Heels got the ball inside to their bigs, who drew contact--only to have the referees not blow the whistle. Or times where there would be offensive rebound putbacks where the UNC frontcourt players drew contact, but the refs would scrape their forearms [to suggest that blocks were clean] and not call fouls.

The game was in Rupp Arena, so draw your own conclusions. But Kentucky is susceptible defensively--especially on a neutral court / away from home.

Also, if I see that Direct TV commercial with Christina Aguilera one more time I'm gonna kick a baby.

Both Big 12 schools (Kansas and Texas) are heads above everyone. Syracuse, Kentucky, and Purdue are a clear 3-5, then there's everyone else

I think Syracuse is as good as anyone.

Hello? Anyone out there still watch college basketball?

Tennessee, fresh off kicking off their best player Tyler Smith, just beat #1 Kansas by 8 in Knoxville. Crazy.

Also, in other SEC news, Mississippi State won at #16 Ole Miss 80-75 yesterday. That was a fun game to be at. Huge win for us.

Polls defintely shook up this week.

1. Texas

2. Kentucky

3. Kansas

4. Villanova

5. Syracuse

But, Connecticut ranked ahead of Pittsburgh is one of the most ridiculous results of the polls this season.

Who is your team' date=' Coach C?[/quote']

Syracuse. I did my undergrad work there. Florida would be 2nd, where I went for graduate school.

Ironic, those are probably the two schools I hate the most. I hate Florida the most though. I only hate Syracuse basketball, while I hate both Florida football and basketball.

Not that hardly anyone here cares, but Mississippi State had one of the best comebacks of the season today. We were down 14 to Georgia with under 5 minutes to go, and went on a 17-3 run in like 2 minutes and came back and won 72-69. Awesome comeback win on a scrappy Georgia team.

The Tennessee and Ole Miss game also was fantastic. Vols won in OT.

TAMU is leading my Longhorns by 2 right now with 5:53 left in the 2nd, a defeat here would shake up the rankings pretty well again, but all that matters is making it to the dance and Texas will be a top seed so not too worried, but A&M is one of the two teams I would hate to lose to more than any other team.

Admittedly I've been following college basketball much less this year in hopes of getting a better bracket this year, but I can tell you that John Wall is a monster.

I lost respect for texas when they got lucas.

seriously? why is that? I know of Lucas but if their is a story there I dont know it, you see I don't get seriously involved in college basketball until about february.

He went to florida (before he transferred), he was in the same recruiting class as pat, and he didn't go to UK.

lol seriously? well at least he's not a cheat who has bailed on 2 schools while leaving their programs in shambles and under discipline by the NCAA for his actions.
