Yes he did spit on the ball. Yes he did look around to see if anyone was looking.

But I think if this was a regular things someone would have caught on in one of his earlier 1000ish other outings. Count me in under 'isolated incident'.

Thanks for the analysis, Doc.

The video is not definitive proof one way or another. But it is suspicious.

I always liked Gaylord Perry.

While that looked incredibly intentional' date=' I doubt it's a regular thing for him.[/quote']

Can you post the Video for me please?

This video also slows it down, and the spit appears to miss the ball. I think Jacko's explanation is spot on. From the perspective of someone who watches the vast majority of the Yankee games, he spits all the time.

Your premise would imply Jacko being right, therefore, it is fundamentally incorrect.

Please approach the subject from a different point of view so we can all agree with you.

You misunderstand.

Your correctness is only compromised by the implication of "Jacko being right" which is an oxymoron. Remove that from your explanation and it shall be received with open arms.

Haha I know. I posted that second link before I saw your post.

Lol, this made me laugh. The use of such definitive statements is pretty funny.

Actually, some of my favorite pitchers of all were known to doctor the ball. Watching Mike Scott in the 1986 NLCS was incredible.

you dont see the spit hit the ball. It cuts away. And from that angle' date=' he could have just been spitting off to the side[/quote']He looks up for a split second to see if anyone is looking, then he spits.

What we know:

He looks up for a second.

What we don't know:

Why he looks up.

What we have:

A video that shows the spit missing the ball.

Conclusion:

Draw your own.

Have you thought about how stupid that sounds? There are no fewer than 20 cameras on him at all time when he is on the hill. You really think he thought he wouldnt get caught

"Josh Reddick is a slower version of Jacoby Ellsbury"

Yup, you sure do.
