And das, don't be a moron, LaRoche would not come close to producing here what he's doing in ATL if he's only playing once or twice a week, in a superior league.

 

I know the argument. Kotchman is a better economic signing with 3 years etc. etc. I don't buy it - that type of mentality has gotten us in trouble. I want my GM to go for the best player when it is well known that LaRoche is a second halfplayer.

 

I don't buy that there will not be regular playing time for him. Just have to sit Tek a little bit more androtate Lowell/Papi at DH.

 

Players like Kotchman are dime a dozen. Hell - he is not even a very good defensive first baseman - I have seen better.
