8 years since 9/11/01, never forget. I cant believe its been 8 years since it happened.

http://blog.case.edu/james.chang/2007/09/11/9-11_firemans_flag_full.jpg

Anyway,

Jon Lester (12-7, 3.44 ERA) vs James Shields (9-10, 4.02 ERA)

Big series, with Rangers playing Mariners, it would be great if Sox took at least 2/3.

Win.

Yeah, but who is going to whine about JD batting 8th?

Looks like I need to edit the line up, just noticed the incorrect numbering

Just give it a min. Someone will be pissed about it.

While I don't agree with Drew batting 8th' date=' it seems to be working, and I'm not passionate enough about this particular issue to make a scene out of it.[/quote']

That's because Fancona keeps doing wierd things with the lineup every freaking night. As hot as Drew is, i think i would rather see Drew in the 5 hole and Papi in the 8th hole.

Ortiz is going to take Shields deep tonight.

Weather update . . .

Posted by Chad Finn, Globe Staff September 11, 2009 04:17 PM

The current weather forecast in the vicinity of Fenway Park calls for the possibility of rain showers in the area during the afternoon and evening hours.

According to Weather.com, there is a 50 percent chance of rain in the Fenway area at 7 p.m. That increases to 60 percent at 8 p.m. and 100 percent at 9 p.m.

The Fenway Park gates will open at the regularly scheduled time of 5:10 p.m., and the Red Sox are hopeful that tonight’s game with Tampa Bay, which is scheduled for 7:10 p.m., will start on time.

Agreed. Drew HAS to be in the line-up. Anywhere from 3-8 is just fine.

Go Mr. OBP/OPS!!!!!!!1!!

Walks or base hits. We need this guy to keep the line moving!

That makes two of us.. I have been waiting all day for this game.

These last couple of weeks is going to be fun to watch. We are going to see how good the Sox really are going towards the playoffs.

Yeah. The only other scheduled day off the rest of the regular season is Monday. We may have a DH tomorrow and that'll suck b/c DH's do.

Yes it would.. I wonder what the stats are on DH. I’m sure it favors a split which we do not need at this point in the season.

Weather update

There is no official word on anything, but the rain is steady and the tarp is on. Again, nothing official, but it's a good bet this game will not start on time.

Let's go Boston! Hammer those nails into the Ray's coffin...and stay ahead of the Rangers.

Whooohoooo....hope this is an exciting game-with "us" on top at the end of course-...I need something to burn off excess energy. Gogo!

At 6:51: The tarp is off now, and players are warming up in the outfield. Still not certain if it will get off in time, but there will most definitely be baseball tonight.

SWEET!

Anyone live in Boston??? How is the weather their? It is 100 in Cali' date=' but that does not help the Sox. lol[/quote']

Coco lives a few miles from Fenway. Maybe he can chime in.

I live ~38 miles SW of Fenway and while it is very windy, the rain seems to have subsided.
