This is actually a good game for the sox even if they lose. Beckett had one inning of wildness, but otherwise looked dominant

He was giving up hits to Podsednik and Kotsay. His curve was hanging in the zone. I think he needs some time to rest. I wouldn't skip Wakefield's turn. I'd throw Bowden to give Beckett the extra day.

Somebody needs to tell him Oki needs a week off--at least. The guy is tired. He and Ramirez are on schedule for 70+ appearances. Too many. That 1 inning per pitcher mindset is a killer.
