Henderson stole like 130 or something.

1. Hugh Nicol 138 stolen bases

year:1887

That's before the WS era. All-time leader conversations usually start at the beginning of the WS era.

Not to mention how great it is that we "stole" this one (seeing that it was Byrd vs. Halladay) and that the Rays blew their game while it was just as likely that the reverse happened. Now we just need to hope that Texas loses even though they just took the lead.

I don't think Gom was saying that he gave them a chance to win was the surprise, but how well he pitched (Mitre too).

What's funny is that Buchholz is one of those guys you really shouldn't be surprised if he pitches that well. He's got video game stuff when it's on. Guess "game watching" isn't all it's cracked up to be, because you don't see that in a stat sheet.

I've never watched him pitch except for that game against the Yankees in the Bronx.

The Tigers losing with Verlander on the hill? That doesn't seem likely.

Detroit won 4-3 after trailing 3-1 most of the game.

That narrows it down

I assumed you'd realize that I meant the game he started in the four game series in New York.

Then again...you're a Red Sox fan, so I should have been more specific. :harhar:

Wait, so you've only seen him pitch once, and it was this year, but you are on the record in the past saying he's not that good. All this coming from a guy who is Mr. Watch the Games. How the f*** can you form your prior opinion if you didn't watch him? I guess the other title you've given yourself, Mr. Objectivity, is a 5 lbs sack of s*** as well.

Gomez scores on a ground ball to the right side. Redmond safe on the fielder's choice when Blalock tried to go home and didn't get Gomez..

Minnesota 4, Texas 3.

Suicide Squeeze by Punto. 5-3 Minnesota. Everyone safe as the Rangers once again tried to go home.

Still one out. Span up, runners first and second.
