The 2-0 to Drew is the second one now.

EDIT: Although it has nothing to do with the wide zone, because even though it wasn't, I'm guessing Joe West called it low.

Oh waaa! Wipe your freaking tears and stop whining. It is pathetic when your team has a good lead.

Ohhh Larry Lucchino and John Henry. Perhaps they're here to announce the Sox have signed Teixeira?

Look, I'm not rubbing in the score at all, but it's worth mentioning. The score of the game is irrelevant.

Regardless, it's probably not a good idea for me to be posting in this thread, all things considered. Enjoy the rest of the game guys.

I think he's would too. In fact' date=' I think your point about the strikezone is a really important one in this close game. Perhaps we should discuss it all night.[/quote']

The Yankees rule.

I think maybe I will become a fan. I really do prefer winning to losing.

I'm going to go order a Jorge Posada jersey to wear during games.

Way to take a hint. Thanks.

Jacko, you going to follow suit?

Example is having a meltdown

Nah. I'm exaggerating to make you feel somehow superior.

How could I possibly have expected to win this game or this series? The Yankees are clearly the better team and they get to feast on the fleshy underbelly of the Sox pitching staff in this series.

All that Penny-fat is delicious, and I've heard Tazawa-san is yummy too.

None of this particularly pertains to whether I think the Sox are a good team or whether they are likely to make the playoffs (they are and they are). I just don't like watching them not be able to give the Yankees a good game.

The sox are a good team. Their playoff chances are directly proportional to the date and quality of the returns for DiceK and Wake.

I agree.

While this a rational assessment of the situation, I see neither player making a significant contribution this year. Wake has nerve damage, as you have explained, and will likely not return to productive form (my opinion). As for Dice, if he comes back in September he may get 3-4 starts. Does anyone see him closing the deal for the Sox at that point? I don't.

Closing the deal may be nothing more than pitching well enough to keep the team in games as their #3 or #4 starter in a playoff series. If Dice can merely be mediocre it would help.

Oh. I was talking about actually having an impact on making the playoffs.
