Daniel Nava.

What? He's in Portland, he's producing. He's sure as heck never going to be a starter but he's got a bit of skill and talent so why not find out what he can do off the bench? It's not like we're overburdened with other, better options.

You've become a parody of yourself, much like SoSH.

I go with Anderson to be totally honest. I think both give you the same terrible production, a sign that the better future player isnt ready. I'd stash Reddick in AAA for the rest of the yr and bring him up at the end of the Pawsox season

Seriously. I appreciate some out of the box thinking IF you have anyway at all of supporting it. Like perhaps saying Chris Carter as an option. But that suggestion is just absolutely ridiculous. An independent leaguer who's 26 and has all of 31 AB above High-A, not happening and not even remotely realistic.

This guy ranks a 1 out of 5 on the Dojjita prospect intensity scale.

Neither. But Reddick if forced to choose. He has some up-side and at least has shown some ability to hit MLB pitching. Anderson is a bust and will not be of value after this season. The downside to Reddick being with the Sox would be he would not be playing enough to continue to develop.

Is Anderson an Albino?

Brian' date=' not Lars, I think.[/quote']

Lol i was sleepy.

Still Reddick, B. Anderson couldn't notch a hit to save his mother's life.

This is shaping up to be very lopsided in favor of Reddick. Some one brought up Chris Carter who is known to be a hitting talent. How come he hasn't been called up. is his fielding that bad?

Yes it is.

And I think his OF D is worse.

Can't tell. They still haven't played either of these guys at their OF positions at the ML level. I guess Reddick did play some LF when Bay was hurt. Then they put him in center for one game, he screwed up defensively, and down he goes to Pawtucket. Anderson was playing center when I saw him in Pawtucket--then he plays RF in Boston. Who's on first?

I'm not happy with the handling of some of their rookies when they have come up.

I still think of that mismanagement of Clay Meredith.

Yeah but Brian Anderson's no rookie.

He's got more ML playing time than a lot of people on this team.

He simply sucks ass.

Cla Meredith has been a successful relief pitcher. He wasn't f***ing ruined. Stop bringing up this stupid argument.

Nope, the FO broke him.

Cla Meredith was never even that big of a prospect. He's an average NL reliever' date=' that was his upside[/quote']

Actually I believe he pitches in Baltimore now.

Anyone who's mama named him Cla has some issues that go beyond baseball.

He sucked here yet amazingly enough he found success in the NL West pitching in Petco.

Actually Clay Meredith's first name is really Olise. Olise Claiborne Meredith.

And if you've never heard of that name before you aren't alone. Apparently someone's parents owned a book of 18th century baby names and a pair of dice or something.

Not really disputing your premise, just dispersing trivia.

Could Carter be worse in the OF than Youkilis?

Hard to say. I haven't seen him out there that much. Not even sure how much he's been playing in the OF.

Remember it would be RF he would be playing. Taking that into consideration it might be an awful idea.

Clay Meredith's 1st ML appearance in Boston coming from single or double AA was with the bases loaded and nobody out--in the late innings, as I recall. He was predictably bombed, and promptly sent back to the minors. He was then traded with Bard to SD to get back Wake's caddy (what was his name?), when they found that Bard couldn't catch Wake. Remember that police escort from Logan? LOL

Meredith blossomed in SD. Not in Boston.

The Sox have gotten away with a lot of bad stuff in recent years, because they do a lot of very good stuff, and make the playoffs and win Championships. That might change if they don't make the playoffs for a couple of years in a row.

He had a 1.01 ERA in 2006. He probably could have blossomed in Boston, or was the sight of the roaring crowd at Fenway Park enough to make him turn into a hysterical loon?

If what you are saying is correct, then I'm glad the FO busted him. I don't want any of those kind of players on our team.
