The shellls, ziti, and penne all have much the same characteristics. Unless you want to stuff something (manicotti), there is little difference.

Eat well.

Sox win!

7-5.

I never liked penne. It's too damn little and I'm always hungry again in an hour.

I like Ziti, but most of the time i go Linguine or fettucine but in the end the pasta doesnt mean as much as the sauce.

Solution: Use more penne?

Yes. Eat more penne.

Seriously, they are smaller than mainicotta (less surface area) and will be less fulfilling with less mass.

well then is she just plain ole nuts? or just got enough attitude to get pissed off if you cross her? or is she not that bad and ive just completely blown it out of proportion?

My stepmom would bitch at me for eating all of it. I use the entire package as is.

You have some non-culinary considerations.

Good luck.

She's nuts, she never stops complaining, she bitches about the most meaningless things, she is the first to spread blame but the last to take it... I think you get the point.

What do you usually top it with? I do a lot of chicken, beef/sausage, or seafood/shellfish with pasta so I just focus on the quantity of sauce rather than pasta.

I honestly am a big fan of homemade Pesto, its nice and understated but still delicious.

I am also a HUGE fan of a good Bolognese sauce (pancetta is probably the most delicious thing on this earth)

EDIT:Carbonara too, but being Sicilian I love a ton of different pasta dishes.

2nd-half stars?

Lol ok.

Its like hitting off a tee

Jorge Posada- last 3 seasons

Pre-ASB .297/.386/.471 for a .857OPS

Post ASB .313/.412/.555 for a .967OPS

Robby Cano- last 3 seasons.

Pre-ASB .278/.314/.405 for a .719OPS

Post-ASB .337/.371/.554 for a .925OPS

Mark Teixeira- last 3 seasons

Pre-ASB .280/.373/.486 for a .859OPS

Post-ASB .319/.416/.607 for a 1.023OPS

ARod stays roughly the same with a 5 point OPS increase post ASB

Johnny Damon improves his OPS by 27 points after the ASB

Swisher drops by 25 points after the break in OPS

Matsui sees a 20 point rise in OPS after the break

Jeter jumps by a marginal 14 points in OPS after the break

Melky has the biggest drop, 31 points in OPS after the break

Overall, I would say the offense kicks it into another gear after the ASB, contrary to your snarky remark. Time for the pitchers.

Andy Pettitte- he had a rare bad finish to last season, but even with his abysmal 2008, his 3 yr second half performance is a significant improvement. His ERA is 0.60 points lower in the second half, his WHIP is .07 lower and his K/9IP improves by 1.5 batter per 9

CC Sabathia- His ERA over the last 3 yrs drops from 3.60 to 2.40. His WHIP drops by 0.10

AJ Burnett- his ERA drops from 4.64 to 3.28 post ASB. His WHIP drops by 0.18 points.

So, care to rethink that comment?

Just sauce. Usually meatsauce.

Some love for Tazawa, I would hope. That was a nice start, aided by some actual offense that helped him bounce back with some confidence after the 3-run first. Overall his line was pretty good and he looked like he was in control. I got the sense he was confident when he got to 3 balls that he could continue to throw strikes.

He probably isn't the savior, but he could be a nice #5 type starter.

Good outing for Tazawa. He's gonna be a nice piece to add to the rotation in 2010 hopefully. I see a lot of guts in him that tell me he belongs up h ere next year from the beginning. I've started looking out for those intangibles since Buchholz's demise in 2008 more than ever.
