Yaz was a great at 1st.

Yeah, at the end of 1973, he played a handful of games at 3B when Petrocelli was on the DL. There was no NESN back then and not many games were televised. I don't think there is any footage of him playing third. I remember he made three errors either in one game, possibly one inning. A day or so later he destroyed the yanks with two HRs. In one of the NY papers there was an article that said Yaz had done 5 things that he hadn't done recently. He hit 2 HRs and he made 3 plays without making an error.

ummmm they did that for the sox earlier actually so that excuse doesnt work here, but my point is that he didnt do it on purpose and they should leave whoever it is in the game be him a yankee or a sox player.
