The problem is the 'prospect or 2'. I wouldn't trade Bay for Holliday unless it was straight up AND he negotiates a new contract with us, other wise, he's a FA after the season, just like Bay.

Bay gets traded to a team that needs a bat. He's got to be worth at least 1 top 10, 2 top 15 right? Take those guys and add them to a package to get Hanley. I mean Hanley is a borderline pipe dream at this point, so I'm just kicking ideas around.

 

 

 

Dojji has a valid point as well. This could be "grass is greener" scenario. But honestly Bay hasn't had a that great of a season. He's progressively fallen off each month. So if there is a way to possibly upgrade the team, it should be considered.

I don't mind DHing Holliday either, there's just no space. But I'd still want Matt Holliday. Dhing Holliday is better than Ortiz batting .225 or whatever it is.
