No, I'm not advocating a bad trade that screws us in the future. Just something to improve this team and get them swinging the bats again. I know, it probably won't happen, I'm just pissed right now and need to vent!

The Sox will sweep the Orioles and take 3 of 4 from the A's and be in first by 2 after the Oakland series.

 

Not if they hit the way they've been hitting. Pawtucket would sweep em.

The problem is that all of the guys in this lineup SHOULD be producing. It's not like we need a trade because we're throwing out Chris Widger and Ross Gload every night. I truly, honestly believe the offense will pick up and produce again. How can Youk, Bay and Drew not do that?

 

We need another SP, at least in my opinion. But trading for another If/OF isn't going to make Ells and Lowell and Ortiz and Tek hit any better. They have to do that themselves. We could get Pujols for f***'s sake, but he's not going to win 50 games by himself.

 

The Sox have to work out of this horrible slump on their own. And they will. Book it.

fa sho this is just a slump of the most severe kind, unless of course they all have some mysterious season ending illness

It is obvious the sox offense wont stay this cold. And it is obvious the sox offense was not as good as they were in April. The question is, what kind of offensive team are they?

 

Well, Ellsbury is sitting at a BA of .290, Youkilis at .303 and Pedroia at .301. Everyone else is under .290. Lowell is at .289, Bay at .254, Drew at .236, Lowrie under .200, Vtek and Papi in the .230 range. Something would have to give.

Right. It might be Maalox Time for Theo, but he knows better than to turn the roster on its head.

Drew suffered alot of that from the leadoff position where he did not play well so his should go up, if you take out Papi's s***** start he should be around .270 or something, Lowrie hasnt played much so his will go up so will Bays, Bay should finish the season at .270 if his career history has anything to say about him, im worried but i think we should bounce back eventually its just really stressful right now while they suck.

Well, Drew is 0-20 to start the 2nd half out of the 6-hole. Everyone SHOULD come around, as Kilo said, but WHEN? How much longer can this last?

this is true he is slumping like everyone else but i think part of that is from changing his aproach from the leadoff positions.

yeah my dad actually listens to Tool and APC I know most ppl prefer Tool (and i do love Tool) but i honestly like APC better, the Thirteenth Step is one of my favorite albums of all time
