They gave us a tour after the game, and I've got a pretty cool picture of Fisk's autograph on the left field foul pole.

That's not really Fisk's signature. I wrote that a few weeks ago when I was there

Yeah' date=' Lester's doing just fine. [b']Those 2 RBI he gave up were on a good pitch down and in to Barajas. [/b]It's not like he's given up 4 or 5 runs.

That was a tough pitch to hit.

That is freakin awesome

Yay go Sox. What's the score/how is Lester?

We're down 2-1. Lester's given up a season high 4 walks (but he's been squeezed a little) but he's held the Jays to only 2 hits. He gave up an RBI double to Rod Barajas on a good pitch. But it was an even better piece of hitting.

Any shots of the game action and maybe ones that include you?

Pissed about the 2 early walks by Lester. He's been pitching a gem otherwise.

I learned this early on in my little league career; every walk and error turns into a run.

That's usually the case, but good pitchers pick their teammates up after an error.

Wow, Major League execution by Papi.

Well done.

Wall ball double?
They set up the field in the outfield. Home plate was in the RF corner. The IF was roped off. If you hit a ball over the ropes it was a ground rule double no matter how hard you crushed it. Mine was not crushed, but it cleared the ropes easily. On most softball fields, it would have been an out, so while it wasn't a "wall ball" it was a Fenway double. One left handed hitter pulled a foul drive up into the CF bleachers. That was pretty cool.

Drew is down in the low .240's. What the hell is going on with him?

He's not a lead-off hitter, and it seems to be altering his approach.

Tito needs to re-shuffle that lineup.

Bay's woes continue.

And what has happened to Drew's average? .244 to start the game.

It seems like our entire team has been slumping the past few weeks. If we hadn't been getting such good pitching, we'd probably be in second place. Like you said yesterday, hitting goes in cycles. Our offense will get hot again, but I wouldn't mind picking up an extra batter before August.

What should it look like?

I liked Ellsbury at #9. Why not have Pedroia at lead-off? Drew #2.

Pedroia really struggled leading off and Francona acknowledged that he was changing his approach. I don't think we'll see Pedroia back in the leadoff spot.

I've never seen that!

Yeah, that's the first break this game that's gone our way. Maybe we can take advantage?

K, one out. If we can get a double play here, that timeout would be huge. Slow runner at the plate.

JUST DON'T PITCH BARAJAS INSIDE!!!

Posted
I'm gonna kill you Tek. Barajas has gotten two hits, both in pitches well inside. So why are you setting up inside on him with 2 strikes and 2 guys in scoring position?

Well, it's up to our offense now. Halladay's only at 75 pitches, so it will take a lot to get him out of the game.
