Buchholz vs. Romero, a couple of 24 year old phenoms selected in the 1st round of the '05 draft. Should be a good game.

We have faced Romero once previously. He gave up 6 hits, 5 runs and 5 walks in 4 innings.

Sick Ellsbury scratched

Jacoby Ellsbury, feeling under the weather, was scratched from tonight's starting lineup. Rocco Baldelli will take his place and bat eighth against Toronto lefthanded starter Ricky Romero.

That's alright' date=' Baldelli isn't really a downgrade at all with his .80O+ OPS.[/quote']

I agree Dutchy, except for the loss of speed. I remember when Rocco had the same kind of speed as Ellsbury. What a shame.

I am so thankful to have a game to watch tonight. My 6 y.o. Daughter is here with me tonight. I exerted my Parental authority and exiled her to the bedroom to watch TV. This is great. No more Hannah Montana. Just the Sox in HD!

"They've tried a few different leadoff hitters there: Julio Lugo, Rocco Baldelli..."

-Blue Jays announcers

I must have missed those seasons.

Baldelli and Lugo have both led off this year.

Bay's gonna wish he took the Red Sox contract offer if he keeps hitting like this.

I'm always saying this, but hitting is cyclic. He'll get back on track and finish up at about .280.

I f***ing hope so!

You're right, hitting is cyclic. He has a career .280 AVG I believe so chances are that's about where he'll end up.
