I find it hilarious that CC Sabathia who gets paid a s*** ton more money has managed to not get put in the allstar game while Wakefield has, i mean i am honestly glad to see Wake's hard work pay off. The man has 2 WS rings and is willing to do anything it takes to win for his team and he also puts up great numbers for how much he gets paid. I think i can safely say that we all congragulate Wake on his first ASG he deserves it for all the sweat he has put into this team.

I'm a big Wakefield fan. Don't get me wrong here. But I believe that the ASG should have players that are performing the best THIS YEAR. Not ones that have had a decent career with longevity of service. I think Wake is having a very good year, so far. I can't say that he is not deserving of his selection. I certainly don't track other pitchers well enough to suggest someone more deserving. I'm glad for Wake, all in all.

 

While on the topic, I think that the voting system is very flawed. Guys like Beltran get elected while on the DL? Jeter? It's nuts.

I would also have picked Kinsler, Cano, and Roberts over Pedroia. It just goes to show that the All-star voting is a popularity contest.
