Nope, would think when Remy's back, he's back. Roberts is just filling in. I like him too but miss the Rem Dawg. Maybe he'll be back after the AS break.

 

Eck got on my nerves a little at first ("paint" and "cheese") but he grew on me a little. Remy's the best IMO.

it has nothing to do with our opinion of him as a professional broadcaster. right now, he's sub-par but he's just getting his feet wet right now. I think everyone thinks the world of him for the biggest SB in Sox history

Roberts is the man for what he did in 04 but the guy is awful in the booth right now. I really like Eck though.

Roberts was originally hired by NESN prior to Remy's absence to work in the studio with T.C. and is only filling in. If or when Remy returns he'll (Roberts) likely be in the studio.

 

Roberts is intelligent, knowledgeable, articulate, and boring. He has a monotone voice and is too positive about everything. He has gotten a little better.

 

Eck is much better. Neither is anywhere as good as Remy. But Remy has so many years of experience and great chemistry with Don Orcillo. Comparing the other two with Remy is not really fair.

 

While I'm on my soap box, The Natinals would be doing us all a favor by opting to use a blimp for overhead coverage for this game. That camera behind and above the plate is very poorly placed and makes tracking the balls put in play a dizzying experience.
