If you think for a second that they're not trading 2 of them at some point, you're nuts. They've probably got 2 deals they're about to make.

Lawson to Denver for a future pick (via Charlotte).

Told you. Smart move there.

Nothing stupid about that, right? Blow #18 and move down a couple of picks.

The pick is for next year, this is the pick that Minnesota got:

• Denver trades their 2008 first rounder for Charlotte's 2009 1st rounder (lottery protected in 2009, top 12 protected in 2010, top 10 protected in 2011, top 8 protected in 2012, top 3 protected in 2013, unprotected 2014).

That's a real good pick right there.

Maybe they move up a couple spots for next year' date=' I think Charlotte will turn a small corner next season.[/quote']

With 4 first round picks this year you can afford to move up a few slots next year, that's a no brainer to me.

It's pretty stupid to go into a season with that many rookies that will be depended upon.

Was Minnesota going anywhere this season? Best case scenario they surprise and win 35 games or so.

They're trying to get better, rookies won't just improve playing by themselves. By trading down to next year, they can potentially find a guy at that pick who would have much more value than Lawson, or anyone else this year would have. Holiday was the last guy to go this year who has the potential to be any more than a role player anyways.

And Collison is a great pick. He's a perfect back up for Paul, and I wouldn't even be surprised if they play along side each other a bit.

Really' date=' why?[/quote']

He's been really underrated thus far, mostly because he's a little bit undersized.

The guy is strong, he can play in the post, shoot jumpers, has an incredible motor, hard worker, and just overall doesn't stop. He'll be an effective defender, and he'll get his points. People will say he's overrated because he won't put up the rebound numbers people think he should. He'll be a very good player. I kind of think of him as a hybrid between Leon Powe and Glen Davis.

Not just the name, but he was like "With the final pick...of the 2009 NBA Draft...which is possessed by the Cleveland Cavaliers...XXX is selected." It was his last pick to announce, so he wanted to go home.

Celts take Lester Hudson. I was hoping they'd take Adrien for some sentimental value.

No shame being a homeboy. Did you aver see him play? At Brookline, of course.

P.S. At 58, they weren't going to get much. Where did Adrien end up?

Posted
Yeah I've seen him play at HS and UConn. He went undrafted.

Good. Maybe the Celts can still sign him. His chances of making the roster are not too good, however. He'll probably go to camp with some team, either in the NBA or in Europe.

From Adrien's Twitter:

I said no to Boston cuz they wanted me over seas for a couple not going out like that.

Yall the best for real. Going to Cleveland Saturday probably. I knew that could happen.

Adrien is pretty much Leon Powe, I didn't think we needed him.

Hudson is an awesome pick. He's a guy with a lot of potential who had some real bad character and personal issues growing up, in High School, and his early years in college. This scared most DI schools off, which is why he ended up at UT Martin, and he pretty much cleaned his life up and dominated. He was at the top of the NCAA in scoring, and he had a quadruple double one game if I remember right. He's an athletic specimen, he can shoot out to 3, dribble, drive, and rebound real well for a guy his size. If Danny gives him a chance, he can be a terrific role player for the Celtics.

Evans is going to be the better player than Rubio anyways.

THIS

Tyreke will be the best player to come out of this draft.

What do you guys think about Harden?

Not the #3 pick that's for sure.

Something about him screams "bust" in the NBA.

Posted

Yeah the more I think about it, the more I think Rubio will be edged instead of Flynn... Flynn was reportedly the guy on Minnesota's draft board, and instead of filling another need on the wing with DeRozan, why not take Rubio, hold him hostage, and weasel something better out of a team like NY who is probably frothing at the mouth to acquire him.

On the subject of Lester Hudson, from what ESPN's draft guys were saying about him last night, he sounds like a carbon copy of Eddie House.
