does Hanley get any kind of reaction in this series?

If you are referring to crowd reaction at Fenway, I believe he gets a cordial welcome and polite applause with each at bat. He's done nothing wrong that would justify treating him as if he were A-Roid or some other creep.

Switching things up in the lineup' date=' as Ortiz gets hotter he moves up to 5th, Jacoby up to 7th. [b'] I think I'd rather have Ellsbury 9th.[/b]

It definitely makes sense.

If he gets on base in the 9-hole there's a pretty good chance a run's gonna score with D-Ped and Drew behind him.

I don't really follow the NL that closely. I recognize 2,3,4,5. Who are the rest of these guys?

Two of them will receive honorable mention, not induction, to the Talksox Hall of Name.

Congratulations Dan Uggla and Emilio Bonifacio.

Especially with the R, L, R matchup

I recognize Coughlin, he was the guy who had the controversy with his first HR ball I think.

Anyway Spudboy, Coughlin is a pretty good prospect and a recent callup, Ross Gload is a meh 1B/COF journeyman, Uggla's a good, fairly young power-hitting 2B, Ross is a low-OBP, high-SLG hitter, Baker is a pretty solid hitting catcher, Bonifacio is fast but cannot hit.

Hope that helped a bit.

everyone's thoughts on Volstad for tonight? From what I've seen he has pretty good stuff. His numbers may not show it, but its there; especially his 12-6 curve, nasty

He's only 22 and I think he has a great ceiling. His walks have gone down substantially from 2008, which is a plus, but on the contrary his HR rate skyrocketed which is odd because he's a sinkerballer. We'll see how he does tonight, but I think he has a bright future.
