Interesting game. Penny allowed a walk and an infield single through 4, then allowed 7 baserunners in the next 1.2IP and before you knew it, 5 runs were on the board.

 

Lugo looked pisspoor, god awful at SS. Not only was his range Jeterian, but he couldnt field the ball and he really wasnt timing his dives up the middle. He is not long for this team IMO.

I know he has another yr on the team. But I dont think you can keep a player on this team when all he does is completely suck. Eventually, the sox will find something better and he'll be gone. Think about it. Green may have had his errors, but he at least has some value to the team. He's had some big hits, he has better range, etc. When Lowrie comes back, one of Green/Lugo needs to go. And right now, Lugo is that guy IMO. I also dont think Lugo will take kindly to being a backup full time.
