That's because he's not catching the ball and he's not hitting the ball. When you aren't a good runner that can steal bases who can't catch and can't hit, then you are a ballplayer that's struggling. This reminds me of when I played on the Big Red Machine before I made it into the HOF, did I mention the fact that I'm in the HOF, well I am, you should note that. Anyway, when a ball player is playing bad, he's not playing good.
