He consistently brings nothing to the table. He never adds anything of interest to a broadcast.

I wouldn't say that, it's always good for a giggle when they show Frodo standing up next to a human.

I bet he makes six figures.
Whatever he gets. He's not worth it.

BTW Baldelli can still fly down the line, and Bay hits a 2 Run HR to take the lead!!! Yes!!!

I actually like Baldelli quite a bit. He's a good 5-tool potential player. I just hope he stays healthy.

I don't understand how JD Drew can simultaneously be the highest paid player and the one who is coddled the most. Last year, he hit .284/.426/.500 against LHP. WTF? I can't wait until his contract is over.

Hey, what do you know, a hard hit ball and Figgins actually had to move to try and field it. About time.

They better not let Drew's contract be a reason to NOT resign Bay for next year. Clearly they don't mind having Drew on the bench for a good portion of the season even when he is healthy.

I think Ellsbury's mechanics are all out of whack. He looks so uncomfortable trying to take a swing. His first step looks way too forced, his hips seem to completely turn out when he swings, and it just looks sloppy. Does anyone else notice this?

Yeah, it's like he's thinking, "I'm really fast, let me start running before I start my swing."

His mechanics'll come around, but he does seem to be over-striding into his swing, imho, he's starting his swing before he finishes rotating his hip, and he won't be able to get his timing down or generate any sort of power unless he re-arranges his swing.

Who was the last sox reliever who was allowed to pitch from the windup? Think Ramirez will keep doing it? Tavarez is the last one I can remember and it seems like it is probably an organizational/Farrell policy against it... anyone know?

This team would go 0-19 to the Yankees every year if they acquired Iwamura, Cattalanotto, and Napoli.
