3 out of 4...I'm happy.

There's a difference between being happy with the series as a whole, and not being happy with this game today. Each game hurts. They had a ton of chances today, and they couldn't get it done. It happens. The reason why I thought it was important for them to win today is that I'm not sure they're going to do better than 3-3 in the next six games.

Umps get calls wrong all the time. They've cost the Red Sox plenty of games this year as well.

I'm more upset about what Marty Foster apparently said to Jeter. Not that it changes anything. Also, I never said the umpires costed the Yankees the game.

The umpires come up with BS excuses for their bad calls all the time as well, that stuff evens out. They have just as much pride as MLB players who come up with BS excuses (see Bruney).

I don't know. There is no reason to continue to argue this point, but what Foster said is a blatant disregard for the rules. I think if something like this happened to the Red Sox you guys would not be too happy.

I wouldn't be happy, but I'd get over it because out team has the best record in the AL. Bad calls happen all the time. If you're the best team in your league, you overcome them. Pettitte got a ridiculous amount of help on pitches well outside to righties. I could show you the pitchfx if you want.

Easy killer. Best record in baseball...by one game. It's not like you're running away with it.

The best records in the AL is the best records in the AL. It's not like we're at risk for losing a playoff spot any time soon.

Depends how you define 'soon'. The Yanks are only 1 GB and the Rays scare the f***ing s*** out of me. I still think the Sox make the playoffs, though.

So you're 3.5 ahead of Texas and 5.5 ahead of Tampa. Nothing is a lock this year, my friend.

I know nothing's a lock but no matter how much you try, you're just not going to make me upset over the Red Sox record. It's kind of a losing battle, given that they're tops in the AL right now.

EDIT: If anything, you should be the one worrying about Texas and Tampa. They're a game closer to you guys than they are to us.

RBI single for Matsui, Swisher just struck out to end the inning.

1-0 Yanks, Minnesota's coming up for the first time.

Sac fly for Cervelli. It was fair by about a foot so Span had to catch it and allow the run to score.

2-0 Yanks

Yankees have been pretty lucky this inning. An infield single to move the runner to third, a sac fly, another infield single and now a broken bat dribbler that gets through the infield to plate another run.

They're up 3-0.

Clutch hit Tex. He's around .250 with runners in scoring position. Then again, he's hit much worse away from Coors Field East.

4 run lead with our ace on the hill' date=' I'll take it[/quote']

Your "ace" has a 3.80+ ERA? That's cool.
