I cant think of a worse way to lose

i can, your team is up by 3, 2 outs, the next 3 hitters reach on errors, then the other teams closer is forced to hit due to no pitcher hitters. then the closer hits a walk off grand slam

Worse: There are no pinch hitter because an alien horde came down and sucked their brains out, making them members of the horde. TOP THAT.

Josh Beckett hitting a bloop single to win the game. Worse than anything, but inspiring too.

End of discussion.

There was a wild pitch/passed ball, Zambrano was covering home and it looked like he tagged out Nyjer Morgan before he touched home but the ump called Morgan safe. So then Zambrano started screaming at the umpire and got ejected. Zambrano then made a motion like he was trying to eject the ump, threw the ball into left field. But the best part was, he go's into the dugout and gets a bat and just starts smashing the gatorade fountain.

Rotoworld probably explains it better then I can.

Very entertaining to watch to say the least.

Here's a pic:

Same difference. They won, and Josh Beckett hitting a bloop single contributed. I'd be heartbroken if that happened to my team, but strangley, I'd probably find something inspiring about it too.

I didn't "feel the need".

Can't a guy love it when "inspiration" comes along?

The Giants lost today. Don't know how long they'll hold onto 2nd place, and even if they could, the Dodgers would have to start losing a whole lot for a while, which so far doesn't seem likely.

Yes, I still want that Giants/Red Sox WS, because then I could spend a lot of money to buy tickets here. That would be awesome. As long as another earthquake didn't occur, that is.

Yovani Gallardo has 8 Ks through 3 innings. But 56 pitches hurts his chances of having a truly monster game.

How bombed would you get if you drank every time Joe Morgan mentioned someone from the Big Red Machine, the fact that he's in the HOF, or said slidepiece?

The whole Joe Morgan thing made me think about something. How cool would it be if there was a way to mute the announcers, but yet still hear the crowd and everything else in the background? So if, say, Joe Morgan is doing a game and you don't want to hear him - bam - slap on the announcer mute button. I would totally use that all the time. Wishful thinking.

After hearing before the game that he was heading to the bullpen, Sean Marshall was lit up for eight runs -- seven earned -- in 4 1/3 innings by the Dodgers on Sunday night.

Way to go, Lou. Maybe when you give Marshall the ball for his next relief appearance, you can tell him his dog died. Marshall had allowed more than three runs in just one of his starts this season and that one time was a direct result of two inherited runners scored in the eighth inning of an outing last month against the Giants

Why is Lou Pinella considered a great manager? He's been an atrocious one for the last decade. He needs to retire.

But he's colorful and old school! No, you're 100% right. He's awful.
