It's going to be the best Super Bowl Halftime ever. I'm more excited for the halftime show than I will be for the game. I was fortunate enough to see Springsteen in Orlando last April for my birthday and he's amazing live.

I think for Tom Petty last year he only did five or six songs and they were all full songs -- I remember, or at least think I do, because I only like five or six of his songs and he played them and only them it seemed.

I expect at least two songs in full... Born to Run and Born in the USA. He'll probably play his new song, Working on a Dream, too. Well, I wouldn't say probably. If he wants to throw in a newer song I'd rather it be "Radio Nowhere".

edit: I'd like to see...

Born in the USA

Dancing in the Dark

Badlands

The Rising

Born to Run

... they could bastardize and shorten the first four if it means playing Born to Run in full.

I recall Petty being bastardized, and if you think about song lengths, it had to be. The halftime is extended from 20 mins to 30 mins, but 10 of that is setup and demo of the stage. That's 20 mins for 5 to 6 songs, which is 4:00 or less per song. Most artists songs are in the 5:00 to 6:00 min range, particularly the iconic good ones.

Like, I'd want to hear The River, but that and Born to Run pretty much kill the whole time alottment.

That's a good point -- I'm not much a Petty fan, so I didn't notice the bastardization, I guess, but it seemed he only played four or five songs so he didn't have to completely cut them down too, too much. Looking it up real quick, Tom Petty only played American Girl, I Won't Back Down, Free Falling, and Running Down a Dream. That's how the Boss should do it... four songs.

The River is great, but the beauty of that song is in the story it tells, so I'd hate any attempt to cut it down. I'd gladly take Born in the USA (4:39), Dancing in the Dark (3:59), The Rising (4:50), Born to Run (4:30) -- the song lengths are obviously album versions, but they can be extended to cover the extra time. Unless he decides to squeeze in another.

I'd almost guarentee Born in the USA, The Rising, and Born to Run. Since the Rising's about an NYC Firefighter during 9/11 (in addition to being a catchy song), seems like something that one could expect him to play.

I don't know, though. If you ever listen to E Street Radio on Sirius/XM, you see that he's not above bastardizing some of his songs when he plays them lives.

If the Panthers took care of the ball' date=' this should have been an easy victory for them.[/quote']

No, this can be credited to the Arizona defense playing their asses off. No game in the playoffs is easy.

Well, since I made that statement, yes. But the Panthers aren't getting anything on the ground either, and its forcing the Panthers into long 3rd downs... he's trying to force it, and you can credit the Cards' defense for putting him in that position.

That last pick was just stupid though. The Cardinals are looking unbelievably good right now. To think Boldin didn't even suit up for this game...

To think that Fox (who I believe is a very good coach) had 2 weeks to prepare for this game. They can make all the halftime adjustments they want but 20 points to make up is going to be pretty tough.

well Deangelo has 38 yards on just 6 carries BUT he hasent touched the ball much because their playing from behind and Delhomme keeps trowing the ball away

The Arizona Cardinals are a hungry team. As someone said earlier I believe, you can not let a hungry team hang around, let alone let them be ahead by 20 at halftime. This is going to be a monstrous uphill struggle.

Panthers need 7 points from their D....they need a huge play to turn this around

Annnnnnnd Jake Delhomme gives it right back. I normally never say a game is over this early, and I still won't, but it's going to take a miracle for Carolina to come back because it looks like nothing changed during halftime.

WWWWWWWOW to this game

I was all over Carolina.

I guess when you're turning the ball over, misusing the best player on the field (underusing is better), and have only had the ball for around 13ish minutes, you're going to get smoked.
