Yhency Brazoban.

And he may seem interesting as a reclamation project, but he's not even getting people out in the winter leagues.

Just want to see your opinions on if maybe we can cherry pick a bit here. Willy Tavarez intrests me to replace Coco.. and that big son of a bitch from L.A. Yhancy Brzelbon?? Can't spell these names.

Thats wonderful. However what I asked was if any non tenders interest anyone. If you want to bust chops over spelling then you can suck my dick in Macy's window. So again any non tenders interest you?

Daniel Cabrera.

He may be a guy Farrell can fix, and he has filthy stuff, all he needs is to throw strikes.

Funny you mention Macy's, because this program also highlights grammar errors in green.

Put him in the bullpen and see what he can do there.

Interesting. however' date=' with the way he walks people he will cause me to lose my mind more then I already have 30 years lster.[/quote']

But you like the idea of signing Perez?

Perez wins more games than he loses, and pitches a lot of innings. He walks a lot of people but he's still a pitcher. Cabrera just sucks.

We already have Wily Taveras. His name is Jacoby Ellsbury.

Oliver Perez, lol.

Put him in the AL East, see his win-loss record go down the hatch....

He doesn't have the poise or control to earn the kind of coin to bring him to the Sox, i'd rather have Cabrera as a reclamation project....

Btw, explain to me how a guy with that stuff "just sucks", if Oliver Perez is about the same pitcher, but in the much weaker offensively NL?

Posted
Because they're not the same pitcher. Perez is fully capable of a good year, Cabrera is not and never has been. Also, Perez has shown himself to be capable of making progress and Cabrera has not. Finally, Perez is younger than Cabrera and is in the age group where improvement is still a reasonable thing to predict, and Cabrera is not.

100+ walks in the NL East, nice.

I'm pretty sure Oliver Perez would get crushed in the AL East.

I'm sorry man, but you're just talking to talk.

A Scott Boras client who's a #3 starter tops in the AL but is sure to not be the definition of affordable is not my idea of a solid signing.

If you want a reclamation project, it can't be on a multi-year, $20 mill plus contract.

Matsuzaka: Legend in Japan, devastating stuff.

Oliver Perez: Pittsburgh outcast who has no poise or command.

Hmmmm...........

And oh.............

Matsuzaka is an exception to the rule, sir.

Well you're crazy if you think that a Dice-K can sustain a 2.90 ERA with such a high 5.05 BB/9 rate.

Hey, you were the one who posited a claim that a large number of walks is a guarantor of poor performance.

I'm really hoping Daisuke's command problems are related to an injury or a fluke he can recover from, such as a subtle change in approach or mechanics related to adjusting to the American baseball. We know that Daisuke can handle the league, he was eating it for breakfast before he started falling off the face of the earth early last August. But the fact remains that he did what he did with a lot of walks and I make no apologies for referencing him.

Daniel Cabrera's problems aren't just bad control, he's got no command in the zone. He throws the ball and hopes it goes where he wants it to. That's a bit different from Perez and especially Matsuzaka who can at least miss bats when the ball does go into the strike zone.

DiceK pitches backwards and I dont think thats a fluke. Thing is' date=' eventually it will catch up to him. He cannot keep putting 6 guys on per 9 via free pass and get away with it.[/quote']

Well said. Eventually they're going to get that douchbag. No I do not like Dice-K if you can't tell lol.
