all i know is im glad the yankees dont seem to be in the running. i was reading a bill simmons article and he brought up that if somehow someway they landed manny, pitchers would have to face a-rod, Tex, and Manny in a row.

CBS5 in San Francisco reports that the Giants have offered Manny Ramirez a four-year contract, but goes on to quote an unnamed team official as saying: "It's not happening."

 

A report that denies itself. That's a new one for us. According to the San Francisco Chronicle the Giants are not actively pursuing Ramirez at this point, but could become interested if his price drops further.

Actually, in the NL West, the Giants land Manny and they have a serious shot at winning that horrible, horrible division.
