He won't be unanimous; there are always some writers who are against players getting in on the first ballot.

First ballot HOFer no doubt. A lot of the guys who get in, get by solely on god given talent. I know Maddux was given the gift of being able to throw low 90s at his best, but the multiple pitches that he could throw to a pinpoint on command was something special.

He won't though, nobody will. Not even Rickey, which makes me sick. I would like to meet the writer who doesn't vote for Rickey Henderson's induction into the Hall.

its a shame to see such a good player retire. He had a great run though and he will be remembered in this league
