Anybody else into college hockey? Maine scored a huge 2-1 win over BC today! College hockey IMO, is more fun to follow then the pros. Maine is normally a national power house but had a terrible year last season. Hopefully this win is a sign of things to come.

Used to be. Wasn't when I lived in Florida last year, for obvious reasons. Now that I'm back in Colorado, and Denver's ranked pretty high again (I thought I saw them at #2, could be wrong though) I'll probably get back into it. Certainly not enough to where I'll be able to speak intelligently on the subject, though.

BC was #2. Denver's at 6. Colorado College is 1, they're ridiculous. College hockey is unbelievable. My cousin graduated last year from BC (figures, one year before I enter it ) and played on the hockey team. So glad he got to be a national champion!

I was so disapointed last season, my freshmen year when Maine sucked and didnt make the NCAA playoffs for like the first time in 15 years. I dont think we will be an elite team this year, but we have alot of good young talent, including a goalie named Scott Darling who has been unreal so far this year. I have hope!

If there was a college hockey team somewhere within a 1,000 mile radius of me, I probably could get into it. But there isn't. The only time I really watch is when the NCAA Tournament and Frozen Four comes around.

 

Can anyone imagine some SEC hockey? That would be great. Maybe then I could really get into it!

And apparently Mississippi State has hockey too. Wooo! And we are also freaking terrible. Our first 2 games against Arkansas we lost 14-0 and 21-2. Good times!

 

So the SEC now has Mississippi State, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, and LSU with hockey teams. All joking aside, I think it's pretty cool regardless of how bad we are.
