Didn't he get better though? He missed the beginning of the year then came back' date=' is it still lingering?[/quote']

it will always linger. It will likely end his career, it isnt something he can really recover from. It isnt something that will kill him, but it is something that will linger forever.

That sucks. What exactly does he have?

It's something that makes him recover very slowly from exercise. You can see that that might hurt him as an athelete. He can fundtion normally in everyday life and even play at a high level but if he pushes himself too hard it takes him a long time to recover. Eventually in an every day game like baseball it adds up to injuries.

A mitochondrial disorder. It essentially means that his mitochondria arent as efficient for some reason (cause is unknown) and it causes him to have decreased energy as well as an increased likelihood of his muscles to fatigue and pull. Everyone always wondered why he pulled so many muscles when he was 21, 22, now we know why. For reference, the Tour de France champ Greg Lamond was diagnosed with it and it ended his career.

Ahh now I see what you meant. Yeah, that'll probably end his career at some point or another.

Another Castiglione moment there.

Who's that up in the pen and why is the bullpen in a place where a line drive foul could kill a pitcher?

Looked like Delcarmen. And good question, you usually see those bullpens in older parks like Wrigley. You would think with a new park they'd build real bullpens.

Yeah, but they've got these really neat cowbells.
