As an update, I've heard that the russian KHL has come under fire for the fact that they didn't have an ambulance at the arena or defibrillators.

thats actually not that bad. The thing I find problematic is the fact that the it took so long to find a defibrillator. Typically, a coding patient reaches the hospital and they dont make it. If they are defibrillated in the field, then the chances of them living increase significantly. I have not once seen a patient who was being coded in the field come back to life in the ED. If the patient arrives to the ED in vfib or asystole or PEA, then most dont make it. It is all about the paramedics.
