I think the Dodgers are gonna make pretty quick work of this team. If the Phils don't win tonight with Hamels, forget about it.

I actually think this is one of the more unpredictable playoff series in recent memory. I don't see either team working the other over - I think it goes at least 6, and probably 7.

I'm going Phillies in 7

Beyond Hamels' date=' the Phillies don't have any pitching, how are they gonna handle that Dodgers lineup?[/quote']

Agree, the Phils rotation 2-4 is a massive question mark. The Dodgers isn't great, but I take LA in 6. Phils win tonight though.

I don't think you can just say if the Phillies lose tonight, they are done. Their offense has the potential to go off at any time, regardless of the pitching matchups.

Edit: As does the Dodgers offense, I expect a roller-coaster series. Phillies in 7

you know how when you watch two teams you have no alliegance for whatsoever face each other, you find yourself automatically pulling for a team? thats how I feel with the Phillies. I guess I really fear the prospect of Manny facing the Sox in the WS

Weird, I'm rooting for the Dodgers. Guess I tend to go for the underdog when I don't care.

I'm rooting for Philly and did so in the NLDS too. I just like them more than LA, and plus, I'd rather not see Manny in the WS. Not only is he a great player, that is the lone thing that would be talked about pretty much the entire series. Needless to say it would get old quick.

Kind of surprised that Lowe hasn't allowed a run yet...2-0 LA.

Lowe was the best starter in the NL since the beginning of August, hell one of the best since May, he's had a fantastic year.

Solid win for the Phils.

I know, I was basing it off of his performance at the time (through 3 innings I think). He didn't look sharp to me.

I dont want manny in the world series against us.

the story line would be enuff to gag a maggot as if we havent heard enuff of this ******** already.

i played the dodgers.

they were a pickem in the series and a short underdog last night.

hamels did a great job regrouping early on and handcufffed 8 of the dodgers last night

of course senor ramirez did his thing, that maybe the last time he has a chance to hit this series, philly would be silly to give him a chance to beat them

Well, Philly has a considerable dropoff from 1 to 2 while Billingsley is a capable 2. I think tonight all depends on if the Jekyll and Hyde Myers remembers that he should be an ace or if he decides to leave cockshots down the middle. Hamels is the best pitcher in that series, and right now, he and Lester are the hottest pitchers in the post season. Either NL team looks to be a formidable opponent as compared to last season when ARI and COL looked like pushovers from the start.
