Right, I agree, but I do think "October myth busted" is a little harsh because I feel Beckett is on a short list of pitchers no teams want to face in October - simply because he's done it before.

 

I agree the SSS makes that statement tough to quantify, though.

And what does that have to do with Beckett not finishing his pitches tonight? 3 runs, 7 hits, 4 BBs in 4 innings? He's extremely lucky to have only given up 3 runs. Either he sucks or he's hurting. Plus his fastball is tailing away more than he wants to, which is indicative of his torso not being able twist properly. More than likely, at least.
